HISTORY OF MAGIC FIVE PHILIPPINES

We never die…but we multiply…

The roots of Magic Five Grand Fraternity and Sorority were founded in the Philippine College of Criminology, based on the principle of the universal brotherhood of man; founded upon the principles of truth and justice. An organization valuing the true meaning of brotherhood; upholding equality over prejudice; love for thy brothers and sister; advocating service to the community and promoting academic excellence, leadership and discipline.

The uniqueness of the organization lies on its Five Member Fraternity/Sorority. Despite the proud ego of warring fraternities, we were able to maintain the humbleness in each of us, acknowledging and helping every brother/sister who is a part of Magic Five. A dynamic and diverse organization, Magic Five is one of its kind.

September 21, 1962, ten years before the martial law was declared, the greatest founder Atty. Bayani Villegas founded the powerful group CRIME BUSTER in the Philippine College of Criminology also known as C.B. or BUSTER, the oldest fraternity in the association of Magic Five. The goal of which the organization was established is to organize the students of P.C.Cr., lessening the chaos occurring within the school. They instated student councils against criminality.

On 1963, Madam Mommy Lucia Balboa Villegas of Crime Buster founded an organization in the Sorority.
While attending school in Philippine College of Criminology, Col. Wilson Banzuelo Relox, a native from San Fernando , Romblon province founded the second brother of the group, the PHI LAMBDA EPSILON also known as LAMBDANS or LAMBDA on March 8, 1965. It was on 1966 that they decided to join forces with Crime Buster.

The ALPHA RHO OMICRON also known as ARHO or ALPHA RHO born August 5, 1976 was founded by P/Supt. Edgar œBilly O. Perea (Member of Crime Buster) on the walls of Philippine College of Criminology together with his co-founders, Dr. Villanueva of Trinity College Q.C., Raul Morato of the University of the East Manila and Ter Amador of St. Joseph College with the aim of attaining academic excellence and a superior discipline to everyone. They joined the Magic Group on August 5, 1977, the third brother of MAGIC FIVE.     

 DELTA SIGMA PHI also known as DELTANS, DELTA PHI and PHI was originally founded on the University of the East Recto campus, Manila by Atty. Miguel Viacrusis (Member of Crime Buster), a transferee from De La Salle University on August 7, 1968. They became known to Philippine College of Criminology on August 7, 1977. The Delta Sigma Phi is the fourth brother of MAGIC FIVE.


 The DELTA SIGMA FAMILY also known as FAMILY or TRES BOLAS born September 7, 1975 was founded on University of the East Recto campus, Manila by Rolly King. It was then transferred to Philippine College of Criminology on September 7, 1977 by SPO4 Willie Cuartero when the forces of DSF became weak at the U.E. In the year 1979, the P.C.Cr. became the Mother chapter. The Delta Sigma Family is the youngest brother of MAGIC FIVE. 

Between October to November 1977, the group was already known as MAGIC NINE group members known as the followings Crime Buster, Phi Lambda Epsilon, Alpha Rho Omicron, Delta Sigma Phi, Delta Sigma Family, LeySam, Samahang Bicolano, Sigma Iris group & Crima. They joined forces because of the struggle of early 80’s when the latter became rival with Crime Buster, Phi Lambda Epsilon, Alpha Rho Omicron, Delta Sigma Phi & Delta Sigma Family. After occurrences, all was left were only five members of the Magic group. They embraced the five inter-frat in the Fort Santiago, Intramuros Manila as one consisted by different leaders namely: Renato Torres (CB), Wilson Relox (PLE), Billy Perea (ARHO), Miguel Viacrusis (DSP) & Willie Cuartero (DSF) and different other leaders from each inter frats. It was then decided to renowned as the MAGIC FIVE FRATERNITY AND SORORITY incorporated as one with common purposes, mission and vision, aspiration of frat life and inter frat relationship.

The Philippine College of Criminology became known as the Mother chapter of all other existing chapter members of the MAGIC FIVE. Since then, members on Philippine College of Criminology grew up to 50% until these days and were propogated on different areas Nationawide
